For shops in Kano, Arewa & Northern Nigeria
Kasuwa helps shop owners and market traders record sales, keep stock up to date, follow customer credit and see estimated profit from a phone. Built for unreliable connections, in English and Hausa.
Everyday shop workflow
Record a sale, let stock update itself, and keep track of who still owes you — without a notebook, a calculator and a lot of guessing.
Pick saved products or add a custom item, set quantities and see the total. Note how you were paid — cash, bank transfer, or credit.
Selling a product reduces your available stock automatically, so you can see what is really left on the shelf — and what is running low.
Link a credit sale to a customer. Their balance drops as you record repayments by cash or transfer, so no debt gets lost in a notebook.
Know what is owed
Credit sales are normal in the market. Losing track of them is not. Kasuwa keeps each customer's outstanding balance, recent sales and repayment history together, so a friendly reminder takes seconds.
Business reports
A busy day is not the same as a profitable one. Kasuwa takes the cost of your goods off the top, then takes your expenses off what is left, so you can see the money the business kept.
Offline-first
On your phone, Kasuwa keeps core shop data in a local database. Sales, products, customers, payments and expenses you record while offline are queued on the device and synchronised when the connection comes back. Changes that fail to sync are kept for retry — not silently thrown away.
Some things do need a connection: signing in, inviting staff, shop administration, subscription checkout, and syncing between devices.
Made for local use
The interface is translated for both, with a language selector in settings. Switch whenever it suits you.
Every amount is in ₦ (NGN). What you type at the counter is what the report shows.
Designed for shops and market traders in Northern Nigeria — and usable by any small business in Nigeria.
Plans
Every shop begins with full access during a trial. After that, pick the plan that matches the size of your business.
For a single shop just getting started.
For owners running more than one shop.
For a busier single shop with staff.
*Plan limits shown reflect the current build and may change before launch. Prices for paid plans will be published once they are confirmed — we are not advertising prices we cannot honour yet.
Questions
Yes for the core shop work. On a phone, Kasuwa stores shop data in a local database on the device. Product, customer, sale, payment and expense changes you make offline are queued and synchronised with the backend when a connection is available.
Signing in, staff management, shop administration, subscription checkout and syncing across devices all need the backend, and may need a connection.
The sync engine checks network availability, syncs periodically, and keeps rejected changes so they can be retried — they are not silently discarded. You can see the offline and sync status in the app.
Kasuwa is a mobile app, built for Android and iOS. It is mobile-first by design. A browser build exists in the codebase, but it is not yet a full-featured replacement for the mobile app — so we are not presenting it as one.
The interface supports English and Hausa, with a language selector in settings. All amounts are in Nigerian Naira (₦ / NGN).
No. Kasuwa records how a shop sale was paid — cash, bank transfer, or credit — it does not process payments for goods. Payment gateways in the app relate to subscription billing only.
The report calculates sales minus cost of goods to get gross profit, then subtracts expenses to get profit. That means it depends on you entering correct cost prices and expense entries.
Sales without a known cost price are flagged as uncosted rather than counted as verified margin. Treat the profit figure as an estimate, not a guarantee.
Yes — you can generate a printable or shareable invoice, receipt or daily report from the device. Direct compatibility with specific Bluetooth or thermal printers is not something we can promise yet.
The app shows stock levels and low-stock indicators so you can see what is running out. Push notifications or automatic reorder alerts are not part of what we are promising at launch.
Yes. Owners can create, rename, archive, restore and switch between shops, subject to the shop limit on their plan — Premium currently allows up to five shops.
